Watches are intricate and beautiful, one of the true testaments of our advancement as a species. That’s why more people need to appreciate them.

Maybe that’s why you’re here, wanting to learn how to use your watch, or more about watches in general. Unfortunately, with a quick search online, you’ll see that most watch related resources aren’t that good (no offense).

That’s why we had to create our site, helping people like you be as informed as possible. So, why don’t you stick with us? You won’t regret it.

Thomas Vanderlaan

Watch Expert / Automobile Engineer
When Thomas Vanderlaan was a child, the moment he learned about mechanical watches he was hooked. His first love being mechanical watches, he decided to pursue a career in engineering as he was entranced by the science behind its gears.

As the years passed, his passion grew. Although he worked a hectic career as an automobile engineer, he’d always collect watches during his spare time.

A collection of a 167 watches- all different types and prices are at his disposal. Of course, this collection will keep on growing.

Thomas doesn’t like to brag, but you could call him a ‘watch expert’.

His knowledge of engineering made him understand watches even more which is why you’ll see him nagging his family and friends about the devices all the time.

This wasn’t enough as he decided to create a blog, giving the world a more thorough look into watches. After all, there aren’t many guides as knowledgeable as him - so you’re welcome!

Watch Collector
I’ve been collecting watches since I bought a ‘Rowex’ for a fiver from a mate when I was 10. He told me you pronounced it Rolex and that’s how it all started. I used to love that Rowex. These days I still tend to stick to the more affordable end of the market. Both my wallet and my wife are happier that way. My favorite watch changes with the seasons, and that’s what I love about watches. Each one doesn’t just tell the time, much more importantly, they tell a story.
Simon Lazarus

Watch Collector
As an avid watch fiend, Simon Lazarus isn’t any ordinary watch collector. Since the dawn of time (well almost), his obsession with timepieces has seen him establish a bijou collection across his extensive travels with his wife and two darling daughters including in the US and Dubai. With an extensive back catalogue of published work on timepieces for numerous sites globally, watches are moments in history. He certainly makes time to capture the true essence of watchmaking with an eye for impeccable detail showcased in his plethora of watch articles across numerous sites. With a well formed selection focusing on Swiss made as well as emerging microbrands that will no doubt gain in value, time is almost as precious as his two young princesses!
