Watch Expert / Automobile Engineer
When Thomas Vanderlaan was a child, the moment he learned about mechanical watches he was hooked. His first love being mechanical watches, he decided to pursue a career in engineering as he was entranced by the science behind its gears.

As the years passed, his passion grew. Although he worked a hectic career as an automobile engineer, he’d always collect watches during his spare time.

Now:

A collection of a 167 watches- all different types and prices are at his disposal. Of course, this collection will keep on growing.

Thomas doesn’t like to brag, but you could call him a ‘watch expert’.

His knowledge of engineering made him understand watches even more which is why you’ll see him nagging his family and friends about the devices all the time.

This wasn’t enough as he decided to create a blog, giving the world a more thorough look into watches. After all, there aren’t many guides as knowledgeable as him - so you’re welcome!

Watch Collector
I’ve been collecting watches since I bought a ‘Rowex’ for a fiver from a mate when I was 10. He told me you pronounced it Rolex and that’s how it all started. I used to love that Rowex. These days I still tend to stick to the more affordable end of the market. Both my wallet and my wife are happier that way. My favorite watch changes with the seasons, and that’s what I love about watches. Each one doesn’t just tell the time, much more importantly, they tell a story.
